Marvel is doing a really good job at producing these series in collaboration with Netflix. These long forgotten and unknown heroes are finally making an appearance on the screen. We are certainly in for a treat! Here is the list of 6 TV series that you should watch right away;

  1. Daredevil


It all started with Matt Murdock, a blind vigilante fighting crime on the streets of New York at night. He works as an attorney in day, believing in the criminal justice system. But at night, he’s the Judge, Jury and the Executioner. He takes the matters into his own hands. With his heightened senses, that he got due to an accident when he was young, he keeps the streets of Hell’s Kitchen clean. This is the first of the very well planned series Netflix laid out for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  1. Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones

Second in the installment, Jessica Jones was not a letdown. This is a character with which people are not familiar with. She was a short-lived superhero who now runs her own detective agency named Alias Investigations. She is faced with the real life problems any enhanced individual might face. She suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome and her struggle to fit in the new world where superheroes are not required is portrayed.

  1. Luke Cage

Luke Cage

Luke Cage was a result of a failed experiment that brought him superhuman strength and an unbreakable skin. After being introduced in Jessica Jones, he moved on to Harlem, New York to live a peaceful life, but life had something else planned for him. Demons of past come to haunt him despite him trying to run away from them. The series follows the self-righteous Luke Cage rising as a star in his beloved Harlem among his people.

  1. Iron Fist

Iron Fist

This is the story of Danny Rand, who was the sole survivor of an accident which took the lives of his parents. He was raised by fighting monks in K’un-Lun. They trained him to fight evil and to become the legendary Iron Fist to stop The Hand. After being presumed dead for 15 years, he returns to New York to take his rightful place in the family business. He wants to find the people responsible for the accident and bring them to justice.

  1. The Defenders


Four superheroes operating individually in different corners of New York City realize that fighting solo won’t help the cause. They have a common goal, the welfare of their people. So they teamed up to fight the common enemy. In this series, Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand team up to stop the evil organization, The Hand. They form a super-team, The Defenders that is more than capable to save the city from any dangers it might face.


  1. The Punisher


After the family of a marine veteran is murdered, he assumes the role of a vigilante known as The Punisher to avenge his family. Frank Castle first introduced in Marvel’s Daredevil series was a success. This is the aftermath of what happened when he got out. Now with the help of a former NSA analyst Micro, he forms an alliance to defeat a criminal organization that runs deeper than the NYC’s criminal underworld.
