Death Note

This very dark series has been voted the best anime of all time in Japan. One of the things many dedicated fans find interesting about Death Note is that the protagonist isn’t your typical good guy, like your everyday stereotypical hero. The fact that this series goes where few others have dared to go in terms of a moral theme is definitely one of the reasons you’ll find this series so enthralling.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

With the look of the European Industrial revolution and the grit of a heavy-handed adventure saga, Full Metal Alchemist is another popular anime that has the spirit and storyline to keep you engaged thoroughly. Edward and Alphonse are two brothers desperately seeking the philosophers stone to restore their bodies after an experiment to revive their fallen mother goes terribly wrong. Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan took the anime community by storm. It definitely deserves credit for being one of the best anime series within the past five years. Amazing battle equipment, badass soldiers, cliff-hangers, and some pretty epic sparring matches, this is a truly superb action series. In a world terrorized by giant man-eating humanoids known as titans, mankind hides behind gargantuan walls in constant fear. The only way they have to fight back against the Titans is the military. Eren Yeager, who witnessed the death of his family and friends as a child, is determined to fight back in the only way he can: by joining the service! Little did he know: the story behind the Titans are much more convoluted than they appear.
